Daniel Joseph BACQUÉ (1874-1947) Head of a maenad or Head of a young woman Bronze with a brown-green patina. Signed "D BACQUE" on the reverse Bears the publisher's mark "LA STELE" and the artist's monogram "DB H. 35 cm Daniel Joseph Bacqué was a pupil of Léopold Bernstamm (1859-1929) and Augustin Fumadelles (1844-?). He exhibited at the Salon from 1900 to 1922. The smiling face represented here is the same as the full-length figure of the Young Dancing Woman,
