Unidentified photographer. The Papin Sisters, Murderers, 1933. Vintage silver print, 14.5 x 18.1 cm, pasted on a cardboard. On the back of the cardboard, handwritten caption and indication : " Collection Romi ". One of the most atrocious crimes, the murderers having torn out - with their fingers - the eyeballs of their victims. Presence on the picture - just in front of the gendarme in the center - of the lawyer Germaine Brière, the first woman to be registered at the bar of Le Mans. Attached is a typescript of the story of the case by the journalist Romi for Paris-Match, 1982. Seven sheets, 29,7 x 21 cm.
