Jean PROUVÉ (1901-1984) ATELIERS Jean PROUVÉ Bahut model 150 of the artist's reference, also called "wood-metal", with structure and base in folded steel sheet lacquered blue (fully re-lacquered) and solid oak varnished opening by two sliding doors in front on an interior with two shelves with adjustable height and blue lacquered racks. Base with four conical recessed legs lacquered blue. Height 100 cm - length 200 cm - depth 45 cm Provenance: Given by Jean Prouvé to Mr. Jean-Marie Benoit, Nancy; remained in the family since. History: the Benoit workshops in Nancy were involved in the repair of stained glass windows and they created the stained glass windows of the church of Saint-François d'Assise in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy whose architect was Henri Prouvé, brother of Jean Prouvé, in 1958.
