Collection of five small travel hairdressing kits, Iran and India, 19th century Wooden rectangular format containing a comb and for some, other small accessories. The first with carved decoration, gul-o-bulbul composition on one side, drinking scene on the other, the small comb in carved wood half-moon; the second with double compartment with carved decoration, of a vegetable composition on one side, of characters framed of cartridges with inscriptions on the other. Inside, painted decoration under glass, of Imam 'Ali framed by Hassan and Husayn facing a religious inscription: Quran, LXVIII (Al-Qalam), v. 51-52 in one compartment; of an animal fight in the second containing a bone comb; the third with katamkari decoration, the inside of the lid painted with a nightingale fixed under glass, containing a comb with katamkari decoration, a compass, and a small pair of pliers; the fourth, made of lacquered wood and painted with an embracing couple on one side, a medallion with flowers on the other, the interior containing a mirror, a wooden comb, a compass and a small pair of pliers; the last one, Indian, with two sliding walls, made of wood carved with floral and animal decorations, containing on one side a mirror, on the other a comb with carved decorations of animal fights painted and lacquered.
