* Edme BOUCHARDON (Chaumont 1698-Paris 1762) Tobie lending money to Gabael, after a bas-relief by Pierre Le Gros le Jeune at the Mont-de-Piété in Rome Sanguine Curved form drawn on a rectangular sheet 54 x 35.5 cm Annotated at bottom in pen "bouchardon Delineavit romae". And at top in red chalk "Tobias cum gabelo". Glued in place. Several tears, some foxing, lower left corner restored. The bas-relief by Pierre Le Gros le Jeune (Paris 1666- Rome1719) was executed between 1702 and 1705. !!! Please read carefully: This lot is to be picked up at the studio.
