Two Brahmins in conversation, probably South India, late 19th - early 20th century Gouache and gold on paper mounted as an album page with a salmon-powdered gold border and cardboard margin. It depicts two Brahmins dressed in white dhoti, their bare shoulders covered with a shawl. One is elderly and seated on a matted four-legged straw mattress, while the other is younger and seated on a mat. Both are conversing in the moonlight.
