Charles Correia (1930-1988) Crouching woman Bronze with brown patina Signed "CORREIA Numbered "4/8" under the left foot H. 45.5 cm Provenance: Acquired in the Paris art trade in 1980; Private collection, Paris; By descent Of Portuguese origin, Charles Correia trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nantes, then in Paris, where he joined Marcel Gimond's studio between 1950 and 1955. In the 1980s, he was commissioned to create several monumental groups for the Centre national des arts plastiques.
