Numbered "9/10 H. 61 cm Provenance: Private collection, Paris; By descent A student of Falguière and Antonin Mercié, Gaston Contesse participated in various Parisian salons from 1901 onwards. His work focuses mainly on female nudes and children's figures. Some of his work was published by the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres.
