On the strength of the success of the model created around 1927, Pompon commissioned Claude Valsuani to produce a first edition of a few copies between 1929 and 1932. From 1930, according to Pompon's account books, the foundryman Andro also cast a few examples. Notre Grand Duc is part of Claude Valsuani's posthumous edition of twelve.
