Karl LAGERFELD Pair of gilded metal ear clips in the form of bergères, set with brilliant-cut white stones, the arm cuffs set with cabochon-cut white stones. Traces of use, signed KL on a pastille, the racket resting on a fan motif. K. Lagerfeld is known to have been a great connoisseur of 18th-century furniture; the legs are modelled on one of his own armchairs, made by G. Jacob (Christie's KL 2000 lot 54), while the arm brackets are closer to the chairs made for the Chancellery of Orleans (Musée des Archives Nationales). Consultant: Mr. Pierre-Emmanuel DUFEUILLE
