Pair of officer's percussion pistols from the Manufacture de Versailles. Round barrels, slightly blunderbussed at the muzzle, with hair rifling, silver-marked "MANRE A VERSAILLES" and Boutet hallmarks, numbered 140 on the sides. Turntables signed "MANUFACTURE" "A VERSAILLES" and round-bodied hammers. Cut-iron fittings. Checkered walnut stocks. Ring caps. Iron rods. A.B.E. Patinated. Circa 1820. In a later box lined with mauve suede and numerous accessories, cookie cutter, lead ladle, bullet mold, powder flask, spring remover, chimney remover. Probably percussion-born with flint lock parts.
