Long two-shot flintlock pistol for the Orient. - Lot 45
Long two-shot flintlock pistol for the Orient. Stacked, punched, round barrels with thunderbolts, engraved at the half. Flat-body lock and hammer, engraved en suite. Bassinet with bassinet cover for selecting the barrel(s) to be fired. Later brass trigger guard. Long-tailed cap (small missing), thumb piece and counterplate in chased and silvered brass decorated with foliage and trophies of arms. Shaft and stock entirely decorated with silver wire inlays and engraved silver motifs. A.B.E. (Weak spring). Circa 1830. Length : 47 cm.
