Nice pair of officer's percussion pistols type 1833 of civil - Lot 52
Nice pair of officer's percussion pistols type 1833 of civilian manufacture. Flush bores, hair rifling, damascus ribbon. Flat-bodied locks signed "BLANCHARD" "A MAUBEUGE" and flat-bodied, case-hardened hammers. Cut-out iron fittings and openable shell caps, case-hardened en suite. Tiger walnut crossbars, partly checkered. Iron rods with iron heads. B.E. (Minor cracks to the wood). Presented in an antique box, with modern grey velvet sheathing, with accessories: chimney cleaner, screwdriver, oiler, chopstick, mallet, bullet mould, primer dispenser. P.BLANCHARD, controller at the Manufacture de Maubeuge (Nord) from 1825 to 1836
