FAGAR percussion revolver, six-shot, 40 caliber, double action. Flared barrel with frog, stamped "PJ FAGAR BREVETE". Open frame and hammer engraved with foliate scrolls. Trigger under trigger guard. Opening cap. Finely checkered walnut stock with ring. A.B.E. (Cleaned pitting). Circa 1850. A J.FAGARD listed as a manufacturer of side hammer revolvers in Saint Rémy (Belgium).
