Strong, two-shot, percussion pistol of civilian manufacture, Model 1855 staff pistol. Superimposed round barrels, rifled, stamped St Etienne. Rear plates signed "AUBY" "A St ETIENNE". Carved walnut stock (cracked breech). Posterior ramrod on the left side. A.B.E. Presented in a later case with numerous accessories: bullet mold, lead and powder ladle, screwdriver, chopstick, oiler.
