Gravity pistol, Colette system, single shot, 10 mm caliber. - Lot 133
Gravity pistol, Colette system, single shot, 10 mm caliber. Flush-fitting barrel. Bascule richly engraved with rocaille motif signed in a banner "JONGEN Fres A LIEGE" Safety on the back of the hammer. Squared and carved walnut stock. Finger rest trigger guard decorated en suite. Cap with flanks engraved with flowers. A.B.E. circa 1860. Presented in a later felt and mauve velvet-lined case, shaped with a bullet mold, screwdriver, oriental-style silver-plated powder flask and chopsticks. Box signed "JOHN WEISS SON 62 STRAND LONDON" with hook and key (missing). JONGEN Frères, active in Liège 1856-1873.
