Beautiful 9 mm caliber, two-shot, pinfire or hunting pistol - Lot 182
Beautiful 9 mm caliber, two-shot, pinfire or hunting pistol "FW KESSLER à Suhl". Bronze-plated table-top barrels with patina, engraved "GUSS STAHL" and marked in silver on the FW KESSLER SUHL band. Rocker, tilting barrel opening key, back plates and hammers engraved with foliage scrolls. Finger rest trigger guard decorated with a trophy of arms and cap with sequentially decorated sides. Tailstock with diopter. Carved walnut stock. B.E. Circa 1870. Length 32 cm. Later boxed with oiler, screwdriver and chopsticks. Friedrich Wilhelm Kessler (1845-1919), founder of the sporting arms factory of the same name in 1869.
